This handbook has been prepared by the Tactics Group, Brigade and Battalion Operations Department, United States Army Infantry School, and was approved for resident and extension course instruction by the school. It reflected then current position of the school and conformed to established Department of the Army doctrine as closely as possible. The handbook consists of fourteen chapters and three appendices.
