Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Stiff brown wrappers with lettering and swords in gilt and orange and botanical designs in dark green on cover. Chipping and shelf wear to edges and joints, especially at head of spine; minor creasing. A few page gutters are cracked, but binding is still fairly tight. Interior has occasional small stains. Uneven trim on fore-edge of text block. Includes a color frontispiece and sword design on endpapers. This book is about a retired Colonel telling the story of a brave Japanese soldier that he met while in command of Fort Huachuca in Arizona.
