First Edition Signed
Hardcover (with Dust Jacket). Condition: Very Good. First American Edition. This is a very good copy of the First American edition without dust jacket. The book is inscribed in ink by a member of the publishing committee, H.M. Durfey, to a friend. The cloth covers are a tad worn; the hinges, corners, and spine head and tail more worn and a little frayed; and there is very light occasional foxing throughout (mostly in the margins), with heavier foxing on the endpapers. The gilt illustration of a soldier on the front cover remains bright. 8vo (440 pages; illustrated with black and white engravings). Signed.
