Condition: Good. 1944. Reprinted. 54 pages. No dust jacket. Brown paper covered boards with brown cloth spine and lettering. Contains black and white illustrations. Prize plate stuck to front free endpaper. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Visible wear marks to boards.

Born in Wiltshire, he came to Norwich to practice architecture in about 1910. His buildings include St Mary's Baptist Church and the Howlett and White Shoe factory. He built many council houses, the earliest being in 1912 at Thetford. He was the author of 'Georgian Norwich: its Builders' and three volumes of 'Beautiful Norfolk Buildings'.
