Hardback, bound in the original green cloth with gilt titling to spine and upper board. 25.5 x18.5cm, 448pp. This book contains hundreds of photographic portraits of dogs, and Stanley West has added notes about the breeds throughout. There are also some chapters on dog care and a section of show points for the various breeds, which describes the ideal head, ear, body properties, gait, hind, tail, coat etc, this section is arranged alphabetically from Alsatian to the Irish Wolfhound, and this is followed by general information about showing, buying pups, quarantine and so on. Condition: A good solid copy.
