Dust jacket spine slightly darkened, else near fine. Robert McLachlan Wilson, FBA (1916 - 2010), commonly known as Robin Wilson and published as R. McL. Wilson, was a Scottish biblical scholar, translator and Church of Scotland minister. An expert on Gnosticism, he was the Professor of Biblical Studies in the University of St Andrews from 1978 to 1983. Wilson was noted for his contributions to the study of gnosticism and the book offered here is a standard work on the subject.
