In poor condition. Rear cover and spine almost completely detached from text block. Quite a bit of fading along edges and spine. Binding is cracked and fragile in a number of places, but all pages are present. Interior overall remains in fair reading condition. A bit of light staining here and there, but nothing extensive. Illustrations throughout -- a good number in color -- are bright and clean. A poor copy of a scarce title.

Picture Book hardback. A little duck just can't stop quacking so he goes off to find a solution, and finds an old toymaker who needs his quacks. Great pictures of a concerned duck family. A sweet horse, two ducks, a St. Bernard puppy, two robins, two guinea pigs and a carrot, a wistful cow, and two lambkins. This copy with a lighter and greener sky than the Cope's. Scarce. Albert Ernest Kennedy (1883 - 1962) was a prolific illustrator of children's animal books from a family involved in the arts. His younger brother Cecil was a noted painter of landscapes and flowers, (his grandfather is said to have worked with Corot.)
