Title page and foreword page have surface soiling and edge folding. Flaps are split at folds but present. Black illustrated cloth portfolio covers are soiled and worn. Spine is missing and boards show at edges.

Beautifully produced work featuring color offset reproductions of Pann's biblical works with captions in German for each work on separate page preceding the facsimile. Print and design under the direction of Justinian Frisch. Text in German. Binding with light staining and discoloration along edges. Binding in overall good, interior in fine condition.

Soft cover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition of Abel Pann's designs of eleven (of 24 original plates) lithographs of a Ukranian pogram. The books consists of the title page, an introduction by H. P. Chajes, table of contents and eleven of the original twenty-four lithographs. The prints measure about 9" x 12" and are signed in the plate only.The book sheets measure 9" x 12" and are a fine cream color and have chipped corners which do not in any way effect the images. Three images are sepia and the others are black and white. This collection of lithographs are a preservation of an important historic event even though very painful to view.
