This book chronicles the adventures and misadventures of a group traveling by sleigh through the Swedish town of Piteå during a cold and stormy winter. The author writes vividly of their perilous journey across the frozen landscape and their struggle against seemingly insurmountable obstacles like snowstorms, ice, and bitter cold. The book also explores the traditions and customs of the people of Piteå and the Sami people, who have inhabited the region for centuries. Through the author's eyes, we gain unique insights into the challenges and rewards of travel in the unforgiving wilderness and learn about the strength and resilience of the people who call it home. The author presents a compelling look at a region and its people that will fascinate and educate readers interested in travel, geography, and cross-cultural encounters. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

, Graesse I, 12. Cox I, 187.
