About this Item: Condition: New. Publisher/Verlag: LAP Lambert Academic Publishing | This book extrapolates on waste energy from the exhaust of the gas turbine, due to great availability of energy and high temperature in this source . A thermodynamic analysis for a double effect absorption refrigeration cycle using exhaust gas turbine as a source of energy has been carried out, the binary mixture considered in the cycle was LiBr-H2O.The simulation is performed to estimate the effect of generator temperature ,ambient temperature ,absorber temperature and evaporator temperature on the coefficient of performance of system( COP ).The basic parameters at various state points of the cycle was computed using formulas of mathematical modeling by F.L.Lansing . The analysis has been done by varying evaporator temperature (Te) from 1-7 °C, ambient temperature from (Tamb) 30-45 °C and generator temperature (Tg) from 90-120 °C. The optimized results, corresponding to our study are : Tamb=30°C, Te=7°C, And Tg =95°C, Cop=1.44. | Format: Paperback | Language/Sprache: english | 64 pp. Seller Inventory # K9783659917110

About this Item: Condition: New. Publisher/Verlag: LAP Lambert Academic Publishing | Production of Alkaline Protease from Bacillus sp. isolated from Natural Habitats | Alkaline protease producing Baciilus spp. were isolated from natural habitats of Lahore. Thirty eight isolates exhibited the prominent zones of clearance on skim milk agar medium at pH 10. These isolates which showed best proteolytic activity were then identified. Twenty two (60 %) of the alkalophilic isolates belonged to the genus Bacillus. Maximum enzyme activity (191.0U/ ml) was found in strain isolated from slaughterhouse (coded as MPPL1) at pH 10 and temperature 37°C. Maximum activity was obtained at pH 10, 140 rpm, at 37°C after 24 hours of incubation. The results indicated that protease producing acillus strain coded as MPPL1 is active at normal ranges of temperature and high pH. Alkaline protease producing conditions i.e, culture media, pH, temperature, agitation speed, incubation period were optimized at shake flask level for maximum enzyme activity and these conditions were applied at bioreactor for submerged fermentation in 1 litre jar bioreactor, an increase of nearly 80% proteolytic activity was observed after obtaining crude enzyme by centrifugation the fermented broth at 10000rpm for 10 minutes at 4°C. | Format: Paperback | Language/Sprache: english | 100 pp. Seller Inventory # K9783846593929

About this Item: Condition: New. Publisher/Verlag: Scholar's Press | The book declares and compares between two methods of irrigants activation (laser activated irrigation) and (sonic activation) to activate three conc. of irrigants (1.5% NaOCl, 3% NaOCL, and 0.9% NaCl) to see the effect of activation on E. faecalis, the most resistant bacteria within root canal. Sixty three extracted permanent lower first premolar teeth were selected. Instrumentation was done with ProTaper rotary nickel titanium files to size F4. The roots were inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis. Samples were divided into three groups according to the method of irrigation delivery: Group A (conventional irrigation group): 21 roots irrigated with syringe with no activation. Group B (sonic activation group): 21 roots, the irrigants were activated using Vibringe® sonic activator for 75 second. Group C (laser activation grougroup): 21 roots, the irrigants were activated using Er, Cr: YSGG laser (Biolase, USA). Each group was subdivided into three subgroups according to the irrigation solution used as subgroup 1 (0.9% NaCl), subgroup 2 (1.5% NaOCl), and subgroup 3 (3% NaOCl). Er,Cr:YSGG laser and sonic activation of irrigants is more effective than conventional irrigation method. | Format: Paperback | Language/Sprache: english | 156 pp. Seller Inventory # K9783330653368
