About this Item: Routledge & Kegan Paul Ltd., London, 1973. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Large octavo. xxiv + 512pp. Black publisher's cloth, gilt title, etc. to spine, dust jacket with striking design. B&w illustrations, appendixes, index. The first issue of the first printing of the Symonds and Grant edition of Crowley's "Book Four." This first issue has the O.T.O. lamen on the spine of the dust jacket printed upside-down, an error that was corrected in later printings. The volume comprises an Introduction by Symonds and Grant, and Crowley's Book Four Part I (Mysticism), Part II (Magick), and Part III (commonly known as "Magick in Theory and Practice.") This copy from the library of occult scholar Stephen Skinner, with his ownership name on first blank. Spine ends a little bruised, page edges browned, otherwise a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit rubbed at edges, spine a little faded - as common - and inner flap price-clipped).
