Réédition d’un roman sadomasochiste de la mythique Sélect-Bibliothèque, constituant le n°15 de la collection, en 1924 [indiqué fautivement 1909 en page de titre]. Selon l’auteur, ce Journal d'une flagellée serait un récit véridique qu'il a promis de publier après le décès de sa protagoniste, qui découvre dès l'enfance la volupté de la souffrance et ne cherche plus qu'à assouvir ce désir. L’officier militaire qu’elle aime doit lui labourer le corps avec son éperon ("Ce besoin de sentir les pointe d'une mollette tracer dans ma chair un sillon sanglant était devenu une idée fixe"). Puis elle répond à l'annonce d'une Dame exigeante cherchant une esclave, elle s'excite aux combats de coqs, découvre les cibles vivantes d’un cercle de mondains, reconstitue avec une autre masochiste les martyrs des Saintes dans des tableaux vivants reprenant les tortures avec une grande exactitude. Contrairement à l’édition originale de 1909 de 272 pages, la réédition de 1924 ne fait que 148 pages. Précieuse provenance : bibliothèque du libraire hollandais W.N. Schors, spécialisé en ésotérisme, sciences occultes et érotisme. On lui doit la première édition, chez Bel Rose, d’œuvres illustrées par Montorgueil (dont il inventa certainement aussi le pseudonyme). Auteur, sous le pseudonyme d’Armand Coppens, d’une autobiographie amusante, « Mémoires d’un libraire pornographe » (Marie Concorde Editeur, 1970), dans laquelle il raconte comment il a pu acheter de façon rocambolesque une collection complète de la Select-Bibliothèque auprès d’un collectionneur qui aimait se travestir en petite fille et se faire dominer par son épouse, moulée dans des collants de cuir noir.
