A collection of four one-act plays by Alice Henson Ernst (1880-1980), a playwright and professor who was associated with the Little Theatre Movement in the Pacific Northwest. She had earned her bachelors degree at the University of Washington and did graduate work at Radcliffe and Yale prior to becoming a professor at the University of Oregon, where she taught between 1924-1950. In 1961, the Oregon Historical Society published her book Trouping in the Oregon Country: A History of Frontier Theatre.
