About this Item: Holt, Rinehart & Winston, NY, 1973. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. 498 pp., illus., signed by the author on the half-title page, below the non-personalized inscription "For a better America in a more peaceful world. Tony Herbert". The front flap of the dust jacket has 4 creases, 2 at each corner, the back flap just one but it's the entire length from top to bottom. Dust jacket has just minimal wear at head and tail of spine, and is not price-clipped, jacket is now in a clear mylar protector. There is an approx. 3 1/2" by 3 1/2" shadow on the front free endpage at spine just a bit below center. The endpapers are dark red and the square shadow/ghost is just a bit darker, it was caused by a clipped newspaper article which is still in book but now placed in a non-acidic bag. The very short AP article is dated in ink at lower right margin 1-26-74, headline reads "Col. Herbert seeks $44 million for libel"; Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 023439
