Book is SIGNED and inscribed by Eddie Arcaro on FFEP: To My Friend Bubbles Warren - Eddie Arcaro. Bubbles Warren Is Grover Cleveland Warren Jr; the son of well known jockey Bubbles Warren who died in a tragic fall while racing. Junior who also assumed the Bubbles nickname was the jockey room manager at Caliente Race Track; who died in 1962. Inscription is clean and nice from the hand of the greatest jockey who ever lived; who still holds the record for the only jockey to have won two Triple Crowns; Whirlaway in 1941 and Citation in 1948. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Bright yellow attractive DJ has $2.95 price intact on flap. Minor shallow chipping at foot and crown of DJ spine. Rubbing along flap fold. Small open chip along base of DJ rear. Yellow cloth shows rubbing with gentle bumping on two corners; light shelf-wear. Manufacturing flaw left edges of pages 242-3 uncut and have since been separated leaving 2 open chips on edge of page 242 with the excess paper from those chips attached to page 243. Hardly of consequence; just needed to be disclosed. An incredibly rare piece of Horse Racing lore and a true plum for anyone who enjoys the sport of Kings. Signed by legendary jockey Eddie Arcaro.
