Black cloth spine frayed at ends, spine's gilt stamping remains bright; orange cloth boards. past owner's personal bookplate on front pastedown. Half-title leaf's bottom fore-edge corner creased. Interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. A very good- copy with author's ink signature "Mayme Irwin Logsdon" upon title page. With Chapter 8 "Mathematical Interpretations of Geometrical and Physical Phenomena" authored by Gilbert Ames Bliss. Mathematician Mayme I. Logsdon earned her Ph.D. at the University of Chicago in 1921 and taught there until her retirement in 1946 where after she taught at the University of Miami in Florida until 1961.
