Aus diesem Grund bildet die neue Schauspielkunst Brechts einen weiteren Schwerpunkt meiner Arbeit. Um diese genau zu beleuchten, werde ich in meiner Arbeit einen kleinen Exkurs zu den Grundlagen des epischen Theaters machen. Anschließend werde ich kurz auf sein Buch Der leere Raum eingehen und dann seine vier unterschiedlichen Theaterkonzeptionen, die in diesem Buch vorgestellt werden erläutern. Dabei wird mein besonderes Augenmerk immer auf den Besonderheiten und Neuerungen liegen, die Peter Brook herausgearbeitet hat. Zu Beginn der sechziger Jahre wurden die grundlegenden Tendenzen entwickelt, die später für die Brooksche Theaterkonzeption besonders charakteristisch waren. Brook geht es in seinem Theater darum das Ungewöhnliche zu entdecken und mit anderen Augen zu sehen. Er ist stets versucht verschiedene Wirklichkeiten aufzubrechen und dabei das Unbekannte im Bekannten zu zeigen. Sein Theater besteht aus der Synthese von Illusion und Distanz. Artaud entschied mit seinem Körper. Sein Weg wandte sich suchend über poetische Texte, Briefe und Schriften zur Malerei und zum Film und blieb beim Theater. Ich lege mein Hauptaugenmerk in dieser Arbeit auf Artaud als Menschen, Schauspieler Regisseur und Mann des Theaters. Einen Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit wird Artaud Krankheit und damit verbundener Drogenkonsum bilden. Im weiteren Verlauf werde ich auf seine Arbeit am Theater und seine Aufassung von Theater eingehen und Schwerpunkt mäßig auf seine Theorie des 'Theaters der Grausamkeit eingehen. Einen weiteren wichtigen Punkt wird weitergehen das Thema Schauspiel, Artauds Schauspielausbildung und seine Schauspieltheorie bilden. Um Artauds Theaterkonzeption genau zu verstehen, denke ich dass man seine Ansichten und Erfahrungen als Schauspieler kennen sollte. Seine Auffassung der Schauspielkunst in den zwanziger Jahren zeigt schon gewisse Parallelen zu seiner späteren Theaterkonzeption auf. Ich werde außerdem auf Artauds Arbeit am Theater de l'Atelier eingehen. Diese hatte er nur einer Empfehlung zu verdanken, und so wurde er 1922 von Charles Dullin engagiert. Schon damals ging Artaud auch in diesem Theater seine eigenen undefinierbaren Wege. Artauds Schauspiel war damals wie aus diversen Berichten erzählt wurde 'von einer raumergreifenden, exzessiven Gestik mit abrupten Unterbrechungen und diskontinuierlichen Bewegungsabläufen.' Artaud sollte aufgrund seiner physischen Erscheinung spezielle Rollen spielen, wie zum Beispiel Dämonen oder apokalyptische Monster. Ich werde versuchen die Besonderheiten seiner Montagearbeit und analytischen Kamera herauszuarbeiten. Kluge montierte häufig eine Abfolge von Photos, Zeichnungen, dokumentarischen Aufnahmen und gestellten spielfilmartigen Sequenzen hintereinander. Jacobsen nannte es so: Die Filme wirken wie ein patchwork, bei dem alles an der Oberfläche bleibt und der Sinn durch die Spannung dazwischen, durch die Diktion des Zusammengenähten entsteht'. Diese Beschreibung trifft sehr gut den Kern seiner Filmarbeit. Er benutzt in seinen Filmen oft eine sehr bildhafte Sprache, die sich durch eine assoziative oder kontrastierende Montage aufgebaut. Dabei erzeugt er stets starke visuelle Metaphern, deren Untersuchung und Entschlüsselung für das Allgemeinverständnis seiner Filme von großer Bedeutung sind. Er legt außerdem sehr großen Wert darauf, dass jeder Zuschauer den Film auf seine Weise wahrnimmt und für sich deutet. Seine Filme lassen sich am besten greifen, wenn man seine Besonderheiten analysiert. Beim betrachten seiner Filme fällt sehr schnell auf, dass diese im Vergleich mit den traditionellen Rezeptionserwartungen, zerrissen, und zerstückelt, wirken. Aus diesem Grund tritt beim Zuschauer eine gewisse Ratlosigkeit auf. Diese ist nicht zufällig, sondern bildet nach strengem Kalkül eine Gegenstrategie zur bestehenden Kinostruktur. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit konzentriert sich genau auf diese von Kluge entwickelte Gegenstrategie. Ich werde versuchen aufzuzeigen, wie diese sich in Kluges Filmtheorie darstellt, und in seiner Filmarbeit sichtbar wird. Heutzutage ist die Wirkung seiner Filme noch extremer als zu seiner Hauptwirkungszeit als Filmemacher in den 70er Jahren. Er wendet sich mit seiner Strategie gegen das Einfühlungskino, den Illusions- und den Kommerzfilm. Diese Beschreibung trifft sehr gut den Kern seiner Filmarbeit. Er benutzt in seinen Filmen oft eine sehr bildhafte Sprache, die sich durch eine assoziative oder kontrastierende Montage aufgebaut. Dabei erzeugt er stets starke visuelle Metaphern, deren Untersuchung und Entschlüsselung für das Allgemeinverständnis seiner Filme von großer Bedeutung sind. Er legt außerdem sehr großen Wert darauf, dass jeder Zuschauer den Film auf seine Weise wahrnimmt und für sich deutet. Seine Filme lassen sich am besten greifen, wenn man seine Besonderheiten analysiert. Beim betrachten seiner Filme fällt sehr schnell auf, dass diese im Vergleich mit den traditionellen Rezeptionserwartungen, zerrissen, und zerstückelt, wirken. Aus diesem Grund tritt beim Zuschauer eine gewisse Ratlosigkeit auf. Diese ist nicht zufällig, sondern bildet nach strengem Kalkül eine Gegenstrategie zur bestehenden Kinostruktur. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit konzentriert sich genau auf diese von Kluge entwickelte Gegenstrategie. Ich werde versuchen aufzuzeigen, wie diese sich in Kluges Filmtheorie darstellt, und in seiner Filmarbeit sichtbar wird. Heutzutage ist die Wirkung seiner Filme noch extremer als zu seiner Hauptwirkungszeit als Filmemacher in den 70er Jahren. Er wendet sich mit seiner Strategie gegen das Einfühlungskino, den Illusions- und den Kommerzfilm. Ich werde in dieser Arbeit versuchen herauszuarbeiten, warum Kluge diesen Filmen konträr gegenübersteht, und dabei seine Methode herausarbeiten.
