Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First edition. Front hinge neatly repaired, corners slightly bumped else a near fine copy. Ownership signature of Samuel Wright, the uncle of co-author Kauffman. Kauffman's second mystery (after *Jarvis of Harvard*), Carpenter's first, and the only collaboration between these two authors.

Condition: Good. Tears to the bottom jacket edge. The jacket edges are a little worn. The book is fine to read throughout, a little tanned in places.
