5 x 6.5" 188pp. Illustrated with numerous small, amusing vignettes. A comic tale of wine, women and song, with some degree of bawdiness. This appears to be an English rendering of Le Brelan de Joie (Grasset, 1924). Arnac (1866-1931) was of the first generation of French comic artists, making his debut in 1903; he was a friend of Georges Simenon. Original wrappers. Light shelfwear; small crease to back corner. Very good.
