A Countryman Press book, this is one of a limited edition of 5000 copies printed in September 1945, first edition thus. 160 pages, illustrated by Arthur D. Fuller. Previous owner's name on title page, cartoon affixed inside rear board, otherwise very good condition.

Tranquillity Regained has lost its DJ. Slipcase, with pastedown title and explanation, as well as tiny bookseller's medallion, is soiled and worn at edges, but well-constructed.

Vol. 2 has 186 pages and is the same exterior without any damage. Vol. 3 has 160 pages and is similar to Vol. 2. In all volumes the interior pages are clean, unmarked and binding tight. The slip case shows edge wear and there are six places on the edges where a small piece of the cover paper is missing. The title plate on the outside has small soil marks but is all present. Inside the books there is a note that there were 5,000 copies of this book printed at that time.
