Entwurf des Einbandes, Satz- und Bildgestaltung von Cesar Domela-Nieuwenhuis. - Domela, (1900 - 1992), lebte als Autodidakt zwischen 1919 und 1923 im schweizerischen Ascona und entwickelte hier seinen konstruktivistischen Bildansatz. 1923 ging er nach Berlin und befreundete sich mit Mitgliedern der Novembergruppe. 1924 hatte er in der Galerie d'Audretsch seine erste Einzelausstellung. In die Künstlergruppe "de Stijl" wurde er 1925 als jüngstes Mitglied aufgenommen und arbeitete sehr eng mit Theo van Doesburg und Piet Mondrian zusammen. Neben seiner Vorliebe für Reliefs im Materialmix, interessierte er sich für Typographie und entwarf Werbungen und Bücher. 1933 ging er nach Paris, wo er bis zu seinem Tode lebte. 1936 nahm er an der Kubismus-Ausstellung des Museum of Modern Art in New York teil.
