Der deutsch-türkische Schriftsteller und Übersetzer Yüksel Pazarkaya (*1940) studierte Literaturwissenschaft in Stuttgart und initiierte als Erster ab 1961 deutsch-türkische Theaterarbeit an der von ihm mitbegründeten Stuttgarter Studiobühne.
