Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. C. F. Underwood (illustrator). New edition. First published in 1896, this is the new 1901 edition from Hobart. The author is shown as "Captain Charles King" on the binding, and "General Charles King" on the title page. He was a captain in the National Guard, making General in 1895. Illustrated with 32 full page drawings, uncredited in this edition but by C. (Clarence) F. Underwood. A very good copy. The red cloth boards are clean and sharp with just minor softening to spine ends and a little chipping to the white lettering on the spine. There's a (beautifully written) name and address on front endpaper, a bookseller's label on pastedown, and some browning and spotting to edges and endpapers.
