In particular is a relationship between the Cardinal and a Madame Michelin, the wife of an upholsterer of the Faubourg Saint-Germain.Cardinal Richelieu was a French statesman and prelate of the Catholic Church, known during his life as 'l'Eminence Rouge', or, 'The Red Eminence'.By Louis-Francois Faur.
