No Binding. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Not books but a group of seven, 7-inch, 45 rpm "single" vinyl records, all from the exciting year 1965, the twelfth year of rock 'n roll. As usual with our groups or "lots" of 45s, these will be mostly garage-sale finds. All should grade "very good" or better, all will play well, but it should not be assumed that ANY of these 59-year-old survivors are pristine or "mint." Many will show fine scratches from handling or storage, most labels will exhibit some "rub." But for one price you get seven ORIGINAL 45 rpm records from the heart of the 1960s, including the theme song from the Beatles' second movie, "Help!" (which was originally supposed to be called "Eight Arms to Hold You," though distributors apparently worried that title might lead audiences to expect a monster picture); the unavoidable "Hang On Sloopy" (produced by that always versatile group of Australian sheep ranchers, Feldman, Goldstein, and Gottehrer); The Toys' "Lover's Concerto" (produced by the inescapable Bob Crewe); The Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself" (credited to the immortals, Holland, Dozier, Holland); and, with our apologies, Herman's Hermits' "I'm Henry The Eighth, I Am," from their album "Herman's Hermits On Tour." All seven for less than $2 apiece!(The lot now reduced from $27.).

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Not a book but a pair of 7-inch, 45 rpm Rock 'n Roll / Rhythm & Blues "single" records from the year 1966. The vinyl is "very-good-plus" on both "Standing In The Shadows of Love" (Motown M-1102) and "Reach Out I'll Be there" (Motown M-1098.) All four labels show some rub from being stacked or stored together without benefit of paper sleeves. Previous Owner address labels glued to labels on both sides of M-1098, ("Reach Out I'll Be There.") All four tracks are credited "Holland-Dozier-Holland." The B side "Until You Love Someone" is from the album "Four Tops on Top" (M-647.) NOTE to our European and U.K. customers: We can generally ship one or two, 7-inch, 45 rpm records overseas, padded in a box, for the 8-ounce rate, $20. We will reduce our default shipping charge (designed to handle books of one kilo) appropriately. Shipping anything from three such 45s, to 17 such 45s, will tend to cause our package to fall between 9 oz. And 2 lbs. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl record, Arista AL-8492, very-good-plus vinyl in a very-good-plus "Promo" cardboard jacket, signed "From Ian to Mary Wilson" and purchased directly from that original member of the Supremes. Although we purchased this album with a group of books and records from former Supreme Mary Wilson in September, 2012, we're still not sure who the signer "Ian" is . . . . It could be Arista engineer Ian Curnow, who with Phil Harding did some work on these tracks. (Our notes say "Ian Benson," but that can't be right, can it?) Reduced from $130.
