Dr. Reiss was a pioneering researcher and educator whose work aimed to broaden the theoretical and scientific framework used in the study of human sexuality, the family, and gender roles. Based primarily at the University of Minnesota, and as a charter member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex, Dr. Reiss was a key figure in the post-Kinsey revolution in the study of sex, along with Albert Ellis, John Money, Harry Benjamin, Henry Guze, Richard Green and others.
