Size: 9 x 5 3/4 inches or 23 x 15 cms. Page number:241. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and the image of an antelopes head on the front. Deckle edge pages. Contents include hunting trips in India and Africa with chapters entitled Shoots Around A Hill Station in The Himalyas; Buck and Boar Round Meerut; Three Lions Before Breakfast; Rhino, And How Not To Shoot Them and A Borgu Leopard. 26 photographs illustrate the text. Condition: Very Good. The cover is quite worn and bumped and has been marked by a Boots library sticker. A library sticker is also on the last end paper. The spine is somewhat faded and the corners bumped. The binding is somewhat lose with one crack in the hinge, but the whole remains esentially sound. The pages, but for occasional marks and small flaws, also a note in pencil that refers to the size of a bull, are clean and un-thumbed. A previous owners name, her address and a date are written on the first end paper. there is no dust jacket. A heavy book. Additional postage may be necessary if it is to be posted outside the U.K.

Then to Africa for lions, LIONS, and more lions in Somaliland (then known to offer some of the best lion hunting in Africa) as well as other game (roan, rhino) in Eastern Africa. Scarce title.
