Light tan illustrated softcovers, cover art view of Steamboat Rock, rear cover birds-eye view of Grand Coulee Dam (minor dustsoiling, shelfwear), still VG- copy, from the library of Inez Turner Angus (1896-1990), and her daughter Ramona Angus Bennett (1924-2017), who originally owned the Montana Agate Shop, a Texaco service station, as well as the "Honeymoon Cabins" motel in Terry, MT before and during World War II which led to Yellowstone National Park, and the Custer Battlefields. Fourth edition, of this work detailing and illustrating with photographs the geology of the Columbia River Basin, as well as the vast construction project taking place at Grand Coulee Dam during the Great Depression. The first half was reprinted from the Pan-American Geologist, Vol. 55, No. 2, March, 1931, with added notes, maps, and photos on the dam construction. The map is printed in grey tones with lakes and rivers in green. Text states: "The mighty waterfall that is hurtling over the spillway in a 17-acre curtain white as snow with billows of foam rising fifty feet and tongues of silver spray shooting skyward is indeed s sight to behold." Slight staining to map verso; overall very good clean condition.
