Boards have a little light bumping to corners and spine. Page edges are browned with scattered spotting. Endpapers are browned with previous owners name and date to front free endpaper and light marking from tape used to secure a protective cover. The date 1947 has been added to the copyright page. Pages are browned but otherwise unmarked. Jacket has some chipping to the spine, light surface creasing and a three inch section has been cut away from the bottom corner of the front flap. Illustrated by William Foster and Roland Green.

He published among things a grammar of the Hebrew language in 1861 which was revised in 1888. Rev Green was a scholar of the Orthodox wing of American Presbyterianism. Light scattered foxing throughout. Small chip at the head of the backstrip, otherwise a well preserved copy.
