(She even gets ab endorsement from mayor Juba.) She had grown up in Ontario and came to Winnipeg as a young girl - circa 1912. Her story soon leads us to Sintaluta Saskatchewan, Taber and Calgary in Alberta and eventually to Toronto. Her account is filled with details and also keeps track of larger issues like women's suffrage and the beginnings of social credit. B/W photos throughout. Learn about Cameron Falls, Vi Sangster of Rosebud, and Old Hog's Back. Cond : Paper wrapper is light brown with dark brown lettering. Front cover illustration is from the 1914 (Winnipeg) Eaton's catalogue, and features a young woman on horseback. (Map of the prairie provinces on back cover.) Volume has very light general wear. Clean and tight. No names, marks, nor creases. Collectible ! Quote (p. 39) : " I' ll never forget the ingenious method George King employed to move his horses to Sintaluta. It was to have the lead horse carry the rider, while each of the following horses had his head-leash tied to the tail of the horse ahead. Such was the unique fashion ._._._." Size: 8vo.
