This little book on English grammar contains 272 pages, divided into four sections: Orthography or pronounciation, Etymology or parts of speech or properties of words,Syntax or construction of sentences, and Prosody which covers the quantity of syllables, the accent and sentence diagraming. It is very comprehensive and was a student teacher textbook at the Nebraska Normal College. The condition is good. The pages are clean, with only a very few pencil marks.There are no rips and the binding is tight. The brown cloth cover shows wear, expecially on the spine which was red leather and is chipped at top and bottom of the spine. Front and back cover are clean but show wear on the corners.

Harcover (4 7/8" x 6 7/8" x 9/16"; brown cloth). Acceptable-to-Good condition. All pages are present, some have tears or are torn, but no text part missing; the inner binding is stout, holding all pages together, but not secure to the cover spine. Pages are free of notes, underlines, etc. but are age-tanned and foxed quite a lot. The covers and spine are darkened but the wording and artwork are distinguishable. There are patches of scrape-like wear on both covers and the spine. Edge wear. The endpapers have some fine handwritten notations, including the name of a previous owner. 160 pages. Packaged using bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box. Tracking number provided for no extra cost. There is light wear to the turn corners of the boards. The spine is straight, and the binding remains secure. The pages are lightly browning and have occassional penciling of name. Leather spine.
