The show is a posthumous tribute to Sterling, who died unexpectedly on November 12, 2010. These photographs appear in book form for the very first time. From Fair to Fine 3, like its predecessors, is intended to highlight interesting and underappreciated photography books for collectors and dealers along with some of the widely regarded classics. This catalog is divided into five sections and has more than 200 entries. The first three categories address important topics within the photography book genre: color; women of the 1970s and 1980s; and botanicals. A large miscellany contains books that vary from interesting to important and from well known to quite rare. Many of the books are signed or have appealing associations and most have not been included in any "top photo book" volume (e.g. Parr & Badger, Roth, The Open Book). The final section contains artist's books, uncommon exhibition catalogs and a series of (lengthy or complete) runs of significant arts periodicals involving photography. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
