About this Item: G. M. Beebe and W. T. Morgans, Liberty, NY, 1873. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Medium brown blind-stamped boards, probably rebound in the last thirty or forty years, looks like the old gilt spine label has been preserved and pasted down, with "History of Sullivan Co." over a line of decoration followed by "Quinlan," one new gray-green first free endpaper reinforced with a strip of binding tape followed by an original endpaper with a small early owner's name pasted down, probably cut out from the original first free endpaper, dedication, preface, introduction, general background, town-by-town histories, appendix, 700 pages followed by ten pages of local advertisements, two original endpapers followed by a final new endpaper. The interior is in very good condition, and I couldn't find a single chip or tear. The binding is adequate, not unattractive, and it will last for a long time, but this is a good candidate for eventual professional rebinding.
