About this Item: Univ of Nebraska Press, Lincoln, NB, 1984. Soft Cover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition, First Printing. Text/BRAND NEW. Illustrated soft cover/NF w/trace edge wear. First published 1831; this is a re-issue of 1984. Autobiography/memoir of James Ohio Pattie (1804? - 1850?), edited by Timothy Flint (1780 - 1840). The adventures of the young Kentucky-born fur trapper and mountain man, under the editorship of Timothy Flint is a classic of western Americana. The Introductory of William Goetzmann is illuminating; most dates in Pattie's account errors, and its true historical value is elusive. Nevertheless, the strong narrative makes for interesting reading. Seller Inventory # 008826
