Item Description: Martin & Hoyt, Atlanta, Georgia, 1908. Decorative Leather. Book Condition: Good. First edition thus. Single volume of 15 volume set. Octavo, 9 1/4" tall, xxii + 462 pages, gilt top fore-edge gilt tiles and decorations on red leather with copper state medallion. The interior of this volume is in very good, clean, sturdy condition, paper lightly yellowed, binding solid, BUT exterior leather has badly chipped at the spine with significant pieces of the back strip missing (some laid in), fore-corner tip worn through to boards. Sadly, this was the "Deluxe" edition of this significant set which means fancy leather was used instead of sturdy cloth which would have survived the yearscollecting many Southern authors whose work is otherwise unavailable or difficult to find. We aquired a broken set and are selling individual volumes for those who may need them to complete other sets. Bookseller Inventory # 33584
