In the second note, dated 9-19-07, Simont provides brief information on Thurber and the writing of this young adult novel: "Much of the work on 13 Clocks was done in Bermuda where the Thurbers spent some time every year. (I guess there were fewer interruptions). West Cornwall was his official residence however, and it's where he did most of his writing.".
