With 8 colour lithoraph silk label samples (2 to a page), decorated & lettered in gilt, photo plates on verso. Self-printed wrappers, punch sewn at gutter margin w/ purple silk ribbon, NF copy. First edition of this exceedingly scarce sample catalogue of Silk Manufacturers Labels promoting the Ozawa-gumi Japanese silk manufacturing company at the Second International Silk Exposition in Shanghai, China. The beautiful silk labels presented here display the star motifs, the company logo reminiscent of the very popular Oz Books, Chrysanthemum flowers, Japanese women working over a silk loom, and others. The Second International Silk Exposition in Shanghai was one of the largest held at tht point, with 100s of finished silk manufacturers displaying, as well as educational exhibits, operated by such companies as the Ozawa-gumi Silk Company.
