The front board has a Shepard illustration of two boys sitting at a campfire blocked in dark green. The top page edges are coloured green. The bottom page edges are uncut. The book measures 8¼" x 6" and it has 519 pages. It is beautifully illustrated with full page and in-text b/w drawings by Ernest H. Shepard. The endpapers are illustrated with maps of 'The New Sea & The Bevis Country' drawn by E. H. Shepard. There is feint light spotting to the foredge, otherwise, the book is in extremely good, clean, sound condition with no foxing, inscriptions, bumps, knocks or tears. A very clean, sound copy. VG++.

Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, patchy loss (mainly to head/tail of spine and to corners), few tears, few marks, minor foxing, patchy browning (including to spine), creasing/rubbing to edges, pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, pushing/bumping to corners, is a little fragile and is in only fair condition. Boards are very good with a little pushing/bumping to corners, the odd minor bump/rub to edges and a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Top of pages dyed green are slightly dusty. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges and bottoms. Pages bit tanned. Odd small crease to a few pages. Occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
