Drawing on his own Cajun heritage & experience as owner of Lafitte's Landing Restaurant in Donaldsonville, LA, the author presents a mouth-watering collection of Cajun & Creole recipes representative of South Louisiana cuisine. In 381 pages with Index + order forms in rear, illustrated throughout with the paintings, whose name has become synonymous with Cajun imagery. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1983, this copy is SIGNED by BOTH AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR by their names on the title page. With a bright red plastic comb binding securing decorative yellow wrappers, colorfully tabbed section dividers. Condition is FAIR: contents are quite clean with some scattered stains or small spots. Front matter, especially shows staining & spotting. Former owner's address label on title page, else unmarked. The exterior, however, is heavily rubbed, soiled, & stained. Both covers show some tearing from the comb binding. The tabs are creased & worn. But Rodrigue's illustrations are spectacular. lovely of George Rodrigue hardcover has cloth-covered boards lettered in bright silver to spine. Condition is VG: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages modestly tanned but completely unmarked, Rubbing to extremities with bumping to both ends of spine & corners. The unclipped DJ is : has moderate rubbing to extremities & looks lovely protected in new clear mylar cover!
