Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Kennebec Journal Print, ME. A report on the ruins of Fort William Henry. Located on Lake George, the spot was originally fortified in 1625, later turned into a traditional fort, but was taken and later destroyed by the French in 1696. It was rebuilt in the 1750s. The newer version was also taken by French and Indian forces. One of the authors is the Civil War Medal of Honor winner and later Governor of Maine. Very good copy of the soft bound, first edition booklet. The report includes a fold-out map of Fort William Henry redrawn from the original made in 1699. 9 pages.

There is a large section of illustrations at the back, including plenty of charts and graphs. There is a name on the first page, but no other signs of use, and the boards are only lightly worn. To those who order this book within the United States using standard (media mail) shipping, a second book will be added as a bonus: Airport Engineering, by H. Oakley, G. Reed Shaw, and John A. Dunlop, published by John Wiley in 1944. This is ex-library but quite sound, and loaded with great vintage photos.
