Larger octovo in wraps, tight stapled binding, clean and unmarked pages, faint must, cover has loss (from sticker removal, surface abrasion) , else VG. Black and white cover, not colored. About 80 pages, no printing information, assume Bellson publication, latest date in text 1966, 1973 publication date a guess. Much about the founder: Orville H. Gibson, starts in 1856 with his birth in NY; started on guitars in 1894, based in Kalalmazoo Michigan(1902). Early photo of him dressed in costume, dated 1890s. Much on early manufacturing, woods used tools, etc. Included is the background history of music of the times and how his musical instruments fit in. Out of print, now only available in Libraries (Jan 2015). No printer's details, but the aspect is perfectly similar (same front cover drawing) to the Gibson Catalogue 1921 published by The Country Music Foundation Press in 1970. This Story of the renowned Gibson Company, manufacturers of musical instruments in the US from 1894 onwards, is the success story of a business that has grown from generation to generation. The Author's knowledge of Gibson began in 1911 when his brother was Gibson Agent in Rock Falls, Illinois. He was Gibson Agent himself in Minneapolis from 1924 to 1935. 94 pages (unnumbered), two fine endpapers at both ends of the small book. Beautiful pictorial front cover, with colour drawing. Bound in paper. Covers are lightly rubbed, bottom end of the binding is creased. Very clean contents. In very good condition Size: 7 " x 10". Booklet. Bookseller Inventory # 005727
