Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine and light green plate on face with gilt lettering. Original cloth professionally rebacked and spine repaired in February 2005 by master bookbinder, Stephen Holliday of Oxfordshire. First edition SIGNED by the author on ffep and NUMBERED #340. Originally owned by J Butler of Lacock, Wiltshire - from the estate of Peggy Butler, former Postmistress of this historic National Trust village. Inside pages tightly bound and clean - containing 17 full page illustrations including b/w photograph frontispiece of the author and his netsman by WH Barber. No foxing - page edges in clean condition. Original boards slightly bowed due to the wrong machine direction of the original binding. A rare and valuable collector's item - for fishermen and bibliophiles alike. Signed by Author. Seller Inventory # 000747
