Item Description: Cengage Learning India, 2011. Softcover. Book Condition: New. First edition. Designed as per the JNTU syllabus for undergraduate engineering students, this book explains the concept of network analysis in detail. Orderly representation of concepts makes grasping of ideas an inclusive and fluent exercise. Topicwise segregation of problems makes it easy for students to pick up relevant details hidden in theoretical discussion of the topic. There is sufficient theory for each topic and subsequent illustrations and large number of high quality solved examples to reinforce the textual presentation so that the fundamentals are perfectly clear to the students.1. Textual presentation of the concepts stands crystal clear against the background of example problems. This provides a link between the understanding and application of concepts 2. Theoretical material is balanced with concrete examples. Presentation of material is an interesting mix of techniques to give it a high quotient of readability 3. Level of presentation in the chapters is coherent in fashion having a clear sense of flow between the topics and sections 4. Topicwise segregation of problems makes it easy for students to pick up relevant details hidden in theoretical discussion of the topic 5. To explicate the concepts and clarify the information, the problem-solving methodology comprises enough suggestions, hints, and solution techniques1. Basic Concepts of Electrical Circuits 2. Item Description: D.K. Printworld (P) Ltd. New Delhi, 2002. Hardcover. Book Condition: New. First edition. Philosophical query into the working of language has occupied an important place in the rich tradition of thought in India since the ancient times. This book throws light on various debates in classical Indian Philosophical tradition concerning the structure of language and meaning. Papers in this book have been arranged in four groups basing on their thematic composition. The book begins with the general issues relating to language as figured in classical schools of Indian philosophy. Papers dealing with the semantic structure of language as discussed by Bhartrhari in his Vakyapadiya follow this. The next set of papers is related to some of the important semantic notions of Nyaya philosophy of language. In this respect notions like sense, reference, proper names, meaning, etc., have figured in for discussion. The last set of papers is concerned with the import of sentences wherein papers dealing with Purva-Mimamsa are included. One of the significant features of this volume is that some of the issues and problems in Indian Philosophy of language have been approached from the contemporary Western perspective with a view to explicate and evaluate them in a better way and this would be of considerable interest to scholars and students of philosophy, particularly those involved in the study of classical Indian philosophy. Item Description: D.K. Printworld (P) Ltd. New Delhi, 2008. Hardcover. Book Condition: New. First edition. The relation between language and mind is a fascinating area in both the Western and the Indian philosophical modes of thinking. Indian philosophers of language raise the question: How does the hearer derive knowledge from the speaker`s utterances? In the process of finding an answer, they developed some important insights into language and cognition, language generated awareness, etc. In many of their formulations the concept of mind is assumed as the background of linguistic activity. This volume throws light on various debates concerning the relation between language and mind as conceived in the Classical Indian Tradition. Papers in this volume have been arranged in three groups based on their thematic composition: (1) the inadequacy thesis proposed by the Madhyamika school of Buddhism and the Vedantins which suggests that language fails to express certain experiences; (2) the identity thesis held by the Grammarians which suggests that language is the Reality; and (3) the adequacy thesis supported by the Naiyayikas which suggests that whatever exists is capable of being known and whatever is known is capable of being expressed in language. This book is the second of a two-volume project dealing with language and mind. The first dealt with the Western perspective and the present work deals with the Classical Indian Perspective. Book Contents Acknowledgement Introduction 1. Bimal Matilal`s Navya-Realism, Buddhist `Lingo-Phobia` and Mental Things -- Purushottama Bilimoria 2. Language and Mind: A Madhyamika Perspective -- C.D. Sebastian 3. Language and Mind in the Upanisads -- R.C. Pradhan 4. Limits of Mind and Universe of Language -- Godabarish Mishra 5.
