Condition: Very Good. This detailed city plan of Paducah, Kentucky, was designed by Kenneth L. Schellie & Associates of Indianapolis and published in 1955 by the local Association of Commerce. Nine bus routes, highlighted in green, connect much of the metropolitan area on the banks of the Ohio River. Business districts and industrial areas are shaded, including the large Illinois Central Railroad shops in the middle of town (one of the largest local employers). Text, photographs, and a map on the colorful verso emphasize Paducah's many amenities. One particularly notable feature is the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, a facility for producing enriched uranium that began operations in 1952 and closed in 2013. Sheet Width (in) 21.75 Sheet Height (in) 16.9 Condition Description Double-sided brochure with moderate wear along old folds and the outer edges of the sheet. Discoloration in the lower center from the vibrant printed front cover. Good condition overall.
