A full account of the trial "G. Narayaniah vs. Annie Besant" in which the father of Krishnamurti sued Theosophist, Annie Besant for the recovery of custody of his son. Krishnamurti was a philosopher, speaker and writer who was groomed by Besant to be the new "World Teacher" but later rejected role and withdrew from the Theosophical Society. Publisher's printed label on rear pastedown states: "Any copy sold without the slip containing the autographic signature given below cannot be vouched for by the publishers." and is signed in ink "Goodwin & Co". Cloth a little darkened and rubbed, spine a bit discoloured, corners and spine ends bruised and a bit chafed, page edges darkened, paper toned, closed ragged tear to lower edge of title page is neatly repaired on reverse side, paper toned. Rear endpaper appears to have been replaced. Overall a tight, unmarked VG copy of this very scarce volume. Seller Inventory # 47612
