An interesting example of an early American behavior and courtesy book, based on the writings of: Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773); Anne Therese de Marguenat de Courcelles, marquise de Lambert (1647-1733); and William Cecil, Baron Burghley (1520-1598).
