Danach erschienen sieben weitere Ausgaben, jeweils überarbeitet und erweitert. Cornelius Wilhelm Decker besorgte in den Jahren 1780-1783 eine weitere, zweibändige Ausgabe. Das Werk bildete eine bedeutende Grundlage für spätere niederländische Gesetze. - Simon van Leeuwen (1626-1682) war zuletzt Gerichtsschreiber am Obersten Gerichtshof der Niederlande. Zuvor war er vor allem als Anwalt in Den Haag und Leiden tätig.
