The interest from the general public is mostly due to the recent events of terror around the world, which has increased the demand for useful security systems. In this project, Principle Component Analysis (PCA) act as efficient method to develop face recognition system. Images captured from real-time video had been analyzed by compared an input image with the database and report the image if similar. Different appearances by each person which is normal face, using spectacles, wearing cap and wearing mask was tested to determine the performance of the system. Twenty (20) persons were involved as experimental case studies to validate the efficiency of the developed system. Experimental results show 100% recognition for normal face and using spectacles, 95% of wearing cap and 45% of wearing mask. 68 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The increasing complexity of System-on-Chips (SoCs) has resulted in the bottlenecking of the system due to scalability problems in the bus system. This leads to the decrement of performance of future SoCs with more complex circuitries inside them. Network-on-Chips (NoCs) was proposed as one of the solutions to overcome these issues especially regarding the communication between Intellectual Properties (IP) in a chip. The fundamentals in designing NoC include the selection of network topologies, and hence, performance optimization is needed to ensure the full advantage of networking is taken. Therefore, multi-level Network Partitioning techniques are proposed to obtain the optimal design of networks based on its performance. The performance of a network is measured by its throughput, average queue size, waiting time and data loss. This technique is applied in a case study using MPEG-4 video application. The proposed technique is expected to enhance the performance of the NoC. 80 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Image overlay system is a computer display technique which an image superimposes another image to create a variable result. This technique can be applied in the biomedical field. During surgery process, there is the limitation of visualization to see both surface and the inside of the patient at the same time. The surgeon also has limited variable of an image for early diagnosis. Image overlay system will help the doctor with providing the image for early diagnosis to assist the doctor. With MATLAB as a software platform, the image overlay system can be generated faster to process the image and do not consume longer time. The output image can be adjusted their transparency level and the type of 'colormap' which is very helpful for the doctor. With the development of graphical user interface (GUI), this system can be handled easily for the new user. 84 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -NoC became a new paradigm to replace the SoC since the existing bus based system unable to accommodate the complexity of the SoC. A huge number of components were involved in the on-chip design. Each of these components needs to communicate with each other and carry their own function that will affect the scalability and the testability of the SoC in general. This project analyzes the main sources of power consumption in NoC based systems. Analytical power models of global interconnection links are studied at different levels of abstraction. Additionally, power measurement experiments are performed for different types of n-level network with related to die area of NoC. 92 pp. Englisch.
