About this Item: The Chicago Tribune, Chicago, 1925. Soft Cover. Condition: Very Good-. McCutcheon, John Tinney (illustrator). Tall, thin octavo bound in black wraps with yapp edges. With a 3" x 5" cover applique by John T. McCutcheon (the younger brother of novelist George Barr McCutcheon, and particular friend of George Ade). Signed and initialed by the author in white ink on the front cover, otherwise unmarked. The yapp binding shows moderate edgewear and rubbing, with creasing and slight frays at the text edges. No chips or tears. The applique is a bit soiled or toned, but is unchipped. The text has an occasional smudge with light wear at the thumbpoint. Uncommon signed. Signed By the Author. The RHL Linebooks were annual slim publications which compiled the best of the Chicago Tribune daily column, 'A Line O' Type or Two'. Black heavy paper wraps with paste-on pictorial title, and with stapled binding. One-inch tear to front wrap bottom edge, half-inch tear to back wrap top edge, and modest chipping around. Tightly stapled, with occasional rust spots where paper meets staples. Quarter-inch tear to first page bottom, but no marks or writing. Seller Inventory # 1647B
