First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Book contents Near Fine with NO marks and no flaws. bright and tight, just minor shelf wear to corners and spine ends. Read the synopses that I scanned. Wow! a real topical thriller with closet communists manipulating fascists, anti Jewish and anti-black organizations and corruption in very high places. Drew Pearson the explosive political columnist of the era recommended this. It is partly a roman a clef with thinly disguised and recognizable major 'players' of the time. This is a book released right at the beginning of the Cold War and very interesting on so many levels. The reader of this saved the back flap of the dust jacket with its list of Messner's line of 'Recommended Mysteries'. Included.
